Laura J. Boxer has been in the financial services industry since 1968.  She began as a stockbroker in NYC with Smith Barney (their current name - in 1968 its name was Cogan, Berlind, Weill & Levitt).  At the time Ms. Boxer got to witness the end of the great bull market that began after World War II.  She spent most of the 1970's on Wall Street going through the high inflation days of that era which led to the last serious bear market in stocks. 

Ms. Boxer left Wall Street in 1978 and moved to California.  She remained out of the investment world until the late 1980's when she  registered as an Investment Advisor with the SEC and began to take on new clients as a fee only advisor. 

Ms. Boxer returned to the financial planning business in the late 1980's and has worked with clients to help them take advantage of the opportunities presented in the last ten years through investments in the great bull market of the 1990's.

In 1992 Ms. Boxer graduated from the Certified Financial Planning program at UC Extension.  She has since included general financial planning in her practice.
